SMS Messaging Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 10, 2026  •  Last updated: July 10, 2026

BlueBird Alerts sends text messages only to school staff, administrators, and parents/guardians who have provided their mobile number to their school. We never sell or share your number, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Program Description

BlueBird Alerts ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by BlueBird Alert LLC, provides an emergency notification and school-safety communication service to K–12 schools and districts. As part of this service, we send SMS text messages on behalf of a subscribing school to that school's authorized recipients — its staff, administrators, and enrolled parents/guardians.

Types of Messages You May Receive

Messages are transactional and safety-related. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and is event-driven. Under normal conditions you may receive few or no messages. During an active emergency or drill you may receive several messages in a short period as the situation and its status change.

Cost

BlueBird Alerts does not charge recipients to receive text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Contact your wireless provider for details about your plan.

How You Are Enrolled (Consent)

✓  Numbers are added only by authorized school administrators    ✓  Consent is collected by the school at enrollment    ✓  No public web sign-up — this is not a marketing list

BlueBird Alerts is a closed, school-managed program. Mobile numbers are entered into a school's account exclusively by that school's authorized administrators — for example, from staff records or from parent/guardian contact information collected during student enrollment or registration.

By providing your mobile number to your school for its emergency-notification program, you consent to receive the safety-related text messages described above from BlueBird Alerts on that school's behalf. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase. If you did not intend to receive these messages, reply STOP to any message, or ask your school to remove your number.

How to Opt Out — Reply STOP

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from that program. To rejoin, reply START or ask your school to re-enroll your number.

Help — Reply HELP

If you are experiencing problems, reply HELP to any message, or email us at [email protected]. You may also contact your school administrator directly.

Carriers

Carriers (including, but not limited to, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is outside of our control.

Privacy

Your mobile number and consent are used solely to operate this emergency-notification program for your school. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party except aggregators and providers (such as our SMS carrier) strictly to deliver these messages. See our full Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
